PROJECT PROMOTORS:

The project is created and promoted by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (Italian Fashion Council) The project is financed by the Council Department for Social Policies, thanks to the interest of Councelor Tiziana Maiolo. The project is supported also by the Council Department for Fashion, Tourism and Great Events of Milan. OBJECTIVES:

The project Fashion Incubator is aimed to support the birth and development of small enterprises in the fashion industry. In particular the project wants to promote and substain the young creative talents of fashion who want to run an independent entrepreneurial activity.


CONTENTS:

In order to substain and promote the activity of young designers and their new enterprises, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana will place at disposal and for free: An equipped location which will host all the young selected designers and where it will be possibile to start running enterprises. The main office will be at the Society for the encouragement of arts and occupations located in Milan, Via Ettore Bugatti 12.

Equipment and machines: the main office will be equipped with specific machineries for the realization of samples of the collections (sewing machines, various kinds of material, paper patterns, etc....) There will be a reference office.

Training and specific advices: Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana will place at the selected people's disposal some advices and trainings of a high level on different themes:trends, design and trend of collections, fabric choices, sampling, collections' production, atc..Furthermore, there will be the participation of some important people - designers, journalists, entreprenuers, atc... - who will place at disposal of young people some suggestions. Camera Nazionale della Moda Italian will coordinate the entire project, by using the support of technical and product coordinators.

Support to the entrepreneurial activity: Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana will place at disposal of the young selected people a support for the start of enterprises: business plan elaboration, marketing plan, economic and financial plan, value of legal, fiscal and administrative aspects, value of possible financing, etc....

Communication and promotion at Milano Moda Donna/Uomo: the main point on which the CNMI's activity will it concentrate is the one regarding the promotion and the communication acticity: the project will be inserted in the official schedule of the shows and of presentations on the occasion of the Milan's fashion weeks and of the collections of young designers will be present at Milano Moda Donna / Milano Moda Uomo.

Link to the retail world: the last important part of this project will be the attempt to develop and increase the trading of these projects by using specific events that will be aimed to involve and awaken the most important buyers, representatives and distributors of fashion. In fact, in order to bring on the concept of enterprise, sales become a fundamental element and collections don't have to be a pure stylistic exercise but be oriented to the final consumer.

We received more than 150 application forms with attached a design and entrepreneurial project.The screening Comittee met three times for evaluating in depth and in a professional way all the projects and decided to admit the following canidates:
